The Aquarian - Run For Cover
March 2004

This week, the spotlight is on All She Wrote, a brand new rock cover band to hit the scene. Recently, I caught up with their lead guitarist and back up vocalist Mike Saraco who was also part of the former NJ cover band Mugshot. Jumping into the Jersey cover scene is risky since there are so many exceptional acts. If Mike has anything to do with it, All She Wrote will rise above the stiff competition.

JA: Toy are at some cheesy orientation, what does it say on the sticker on your shirt?
MS: I am Mike, I'm a Metal head and damn proud! 'Bye bye baby, bye bye, and that was all she wrote'...would you mind if I just kept singing that throughout the interview? ...not as long as you are in key... I always wanted to be in a Firehouse tribute band! Check please! :-)

Who are your personal influences and idols (rock and troll or not...)?
Eddie Van Helen, Steve Vai, Jenna Jameson, James Gandolfini, George Patton and Elvis.

Even though the All She Wrote members all have extensive prior musical background, how does it feel to be the new jacks on the scene?
Totally refreshing and exciting, yet I feel like we have known each other for such a long time that we have become very good friends, which helps and it definitely shows on stage.

Your song list is on of the coolest I've seen...you guys are on top of your s--t! The Darkness, Rancid, Journey, and even some Prince? Very eclectic, but here's some examples of what you should cover: (example: The theme from 'Greatest American Hero', or any song by NKOTB, or Samantha Fox). Aside from the cool set list, what other traits does your band bestow that aren't the norm? Can they do the truffle shuffle on stage or something? Why should we come and see you?
Because we are here to serve you, the public! We have a blast on stage and that carries into the audience. We want you to come out, enjoy the night, forget about what is bothering you in life and have a great time, while we provide the soundtrack. Oh, and we can do a mean tango is necessary!

For my Run For Cover Celebrity Death-Match (coming soon), who do you guys want to challenge?
Size Matters or big Bang Baby!

What's your favorite place to play and name your poison.
A Packed Ringside or HVI...anything you buy, but preferably Jack Daniels! :-)

What will be your calling card with the groupies (example: Zeppelin came up with creative ways to use a fish)?
Ask us about the 'pothead seat'!

Here's a tough one: North Jersey girls or South Jersey girls?
North.

Here is your time to plug anything... shows... projects... politicians...
Come check us out, you won't be disappointed. http://www.allshewroterocks.com. Check out the schedule page on our website to see when and where we are playing next.

And finally Mike, can rock and roll save the world?
Yes...'we believe in a thing called love...'

Amen! Thanks Mike.
